Local Talent Eddie Mitchell to Speak at DBWA
The next meeting of the Davie Businesswomen’s Association features local celebrity Eddie Mitchell as speaker. The meeting will take place at noon on Wednesday, September 6 at the Rotary Hut in Mocksville. Mitchell is a native of London, England, and a former professional soccer player and radio personality. Well-known for his book readings, motivational speaking and after-dinner speaking, his program is entitled “A Man’s View of Women in the Workplace.” Guests and newcomers are welcome. Lunch reservations are required and can be made by contacting Bette Hauser at Savory Spoon, 998-3663. Attendees may also bring their own lunch. The mission of DBWA is bringing together businesswomen of diverse occupations to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through networking, support, and camaraderie.
