FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Davie Businesswomen’s Association Provides
Networking All Businesswomen Welcome at Christmas Meeting by Sheri West Symanski The November meeting of the Davie Business Women’s Association provided a great opportunity for attendees to learn more about the local businesses and agencies in which our members are involved. Included among the presentations were Lynette Pierce of Davie County Partnership for Children telling about a new program that gives free books to pre-school children; Beth Agnello of the Small Business Center at Davidson County Community College with information about several programs for entrepreneurs; Izzy Tutterow of Big Brothers Big Sisters Services expressed a need for Lunch Buddies; and Karen Rose of Family Services shared about a new counseling program focusing on marital communication. Others with displays and information were: Regina Graham of Parents As Teachers, Janel Hensley of Coldwell Banker Triad Realtors, Kris Howell of Angels Above, Maggie Moe of Business Cards Etc., Cathy Smith and Christy Wilke of the Davie County Chamber of Commerce, and Sheri Symanski of Orange Cat Art. DBWA’s December meeting will be a dinner party on Thursday, December 1 at 6:00 p.m. Non-DBWA members are welcome! The party will take place in the Community Room at SunTrust Bank on Yadkinville Rd. Dinner will be catered by Bette Hauser of Savory Spoon, and attendees are encouraged to bring a small gift (less than $10) and participate in our annual gift exchange game. Reservations for both members and non-members can be made by sending a check payable to DBWA for $15 to: Allene Romano, 150 Crowe Street, Mocksville, NC 27028 no later than November 21.
